The festival is a new free event created to celebrate the city’s beauty and establish the historic town as a center for arts and culture in Colorado. The 1st Annual Event will bring up to 30 acclaimed artists to Central City for 3 days in September to paint, show, and sell their work. Entirely free to the public, spectators will have the opportunity to watch and interact with artists during the Festival’s various events and gatherings. City of Louisville Photography Contest and Grant opportunity
Life in Louisville Photography Contest Entry Deadline: January 19, 2018 Enter the 10th annual "Life in Louisville" Photography contest! This competition aims to help preserve images and reminders of Louisville for this and future generations! Student, amateur and professional photographers are invited to enter. All photos must be taken between January 1 and December 31, 2017. Winners will receive a certificate and special recognition by the Louisville City Council. All photos will be placed on public display on the City's website and may be used in print, on TV and on the internet. The art grant program provides financial and facility support to projects which utilize the arts as their primary means of expression. In awarding these grants, the Louisville Cultural Council seeks to further their mission of engaging our diverse social, cultural, and creative community. Diversity of media and creative artistic expression is encouraged. Artists and organizations may apply for up to $1,500 in funding plus complimentary use of the Louisville Center for the Arts for their event.
