Here’s What You Told Us in the Member Survey…
In April the LAA Board distributed a member survey to solicit feedback on our Association’s benefits & programs. We were thrilled to receive responses from 78 members (of 183 contacted), who provided the following feedback from our respondents. The most important benefits the LAA membership provides are the camaraderie of our artist community and opportunities to show art. In fact, a vast majority say that Member Shows, the National Fine Art & Photography Show, and other opportunities to show art are Important or Very Important for LAA members. We asked for feedback on Dabblers and Workshops, significant opportunities for learning/expanding/exploring art. More than half of our respondents are likely or highly likely to register for a workshop or Dabbler in the next year. We learned that most members would prefer an Intermediate level program, with one- or half-day programs highly preferred. This feedback is especially important as we begin planning programs for 2019, with over a dozen opportunities expected. We also received a variety of ideas about our monthly member meetings. Thanks once again to everyone who participated. Stay tuned as we work to address your suggestions, and strive to make our organization to be the best it can be! If you have any additional feedback or ideas, or you’d like to get more involved in the LAA, or perhaps to join the Board, please reach out to any Board Member. Reimbursement Form

We received many comments on how extraordinarily beautiful this year's show was. The judge stated that so much of the work was so good that he had a difficult time choosing the award winners. The number of participants was greater this year (64) than last year (56) and sales were much greater than last year. Even with the snow and the construction, attendance was also up this year. All of these factors contributed to the finacial profitability of your show. Thank you also for all the volunteer hours you put in. Our shows are always dependent upon both your time and talent. Congratulations on a most successful show!
