If you need to cancel your registration for any workshop/Dabbler, please do so by emailing Steve Markman firstname.lastname@example.org, and he will contact our treasurer, so you can be refunded by check. Please do not dispute the charges online at our website as that costs us quite a bit for every single dispute. We appreciate your help in keeping our costs down.
January 19—Creating Dramatic Textured Paintings using Watercolor and Acrylic Gesso
Saturday January 19, 2019, 11am-2pm *Note the time change! This dabbler starts two hours later than most of our dabblers.
We begin with a gesso texture applied with a trowel-shaped palette knife on illustration board. When the gesso dries, diluted watercolors are poured over the surface. Then diluted gesso is poured on the painting, followed by more watercolor. The process is repeated until the painting is finished.
This is a wonderful technique for creating dramatic water effects, changing weather, trees, etc…or just to create a beautiful abstract.
