    Artists hang their work in the Art In Public Places Program with LAA. All members can sign up in the Fall or when openings are available in over 12 venues in the area. Please call the person following you when you take your work down. Contact Pat Carney if you have any questions. 303-666-4266

    Description of Venues

    1. Artful Cup Coffee House, 950 West Cherry, Louisville (303-604-9395)
      Art hangs on the wall in the back of this sunny coffee house. 6-10 small and medium pieces 20% commission taken. One-month rotation.
    2. Bank of the West, 890 West Cherry, Louisville (303-666-1509)
      Art hangs in lobby area. 6 medium to large pieces. Two-month rotation.
    3. Blue Parrot, 640 Main Street, Louisville (303-666-0677)
      Art hangs in two different eating areas and in the hallway entering one of them. 6 pieces. Hang after 3:00 pm. Call first to set up. Ask about the hooks designated for LAA. Two-month rotation.
    4. Chamber of Commerce, 901 Main Street, Louisville (303-666-5747)
      Art hangs in several rooms and at the reception desk area. 12 pieces, mostly medium sized, some can be small. Call first to set up. Two-month rotation
    5. City Hall, 749 Main Street, Louisville. (303-335-4533) Deborah Borelli, assistant to the City Manager)
      Art hangs on one wall on the second floor. 10 pieces depending on size. One-month rotation.
    6. Crazy Horse Salon, 734 Front Street, Louisville. (303-666-5802)
      Art hangs on a burgundy wall by the reception desk at the front. 1-2 pieces depending on size (l large or 2 medium). Call first to set up. Two-month rotation.
    7. Eddie’s Diner-Pizzeria-Grill, 103 12 North Public Road, Lafayette. (720-279-1208).
      Art hangs on the two main walls in this spacious eatery. Call first to set up. 11 pieces. Two-month rotation.
    8. 1st Community Bank, 1020 Century Boulevard, Louisville. (303-666-0666)
      Art hangs in the entry, lobby area, hallway, and some office areas in this really nice venue. It has very good lighting. It takes medium to large pieces mostly and has 29 hooks available. Usually 3-4 artists can hang there at one time. Two-month rotation.
    9. Louisville Library, 951 Spruce Street. (303-335-4849)
      The Louisville Library invites established artists and photographers from the Boulder County area to exhibit their work in the gallery located in the north wing of the main floor. The gallery has 50 linear feet of exhibition walls with 13 foot ceilings and a track and cable hanging system. Display space for three-dimensional art will be available in spring 2008. Please contact Karen Freiter at 303-335-4815 for an application or more information. Photographs of the work to be displayed and an artist’s statement are also required. One-month rotation.
    10. Louisville Municipal Courthouse, 922 Via Appia, Louisville. (303-335-4653) Linda LeBeck, court clerk)
      Art hangs on two opposite walls in this elegant space with very good lighting. Call to arrange a time for hanging when the court is not in session. 6 medium to large pieces. Two-month rotation.
    11. Louisville Recreation Center, 800 West Via Appia, Louisville. (303-666-7400)
      Art hangs on the large main wall on the left side as you enter the building. Good lighting but don’t hang the pieces too high to avoid glare. Please note that this schedule is varied because of other prescheduled events at the Rec Center. 6 large to 10 pieces for each artist and 3 artists can hang at the same time. Usually a one-month rotation.
    12. Mojos, 211 North Public Road, Lafayette. (303-665-9026)
      Art is hung on the walls around the inside of the cafe and its conference room. 8-10 medium to large pieces. One-month rotation.
    13. Stauffer Team Real Estate, 950 Spruce St., Suite 1B, Louisville, (303-664-0000)
      Art hangs in the entry area, hallways, and office areas including the conference room in this really nice venue. It has very good lighting. It akes small, medium, and large pieces and has approximately 45 hooks. Usually 4 artists can hang there at one time. Two-month rotation.
