Tactile and Art Challenge Show
It’s Time for The Tactile and Art Challenge Show!
The Louisville Art Association (LAA) for the 17th year is sponsoring the Tactile and Art Challenge Show to highlight touchable art and art by artists with disabilities. The show will be on display at the Louisville Center for the Arts at 801 Grant Avenue, in Memory Square Park, Louisville, from May 23 through May 30.

Judges for the show will be Arabella Tattershall, A Colorado resident for 24 years, Arabella has pursued many avenues of the Arts. Currently, steel is her favored medium. She is enamored with leaves. Last year, Arabella won 1st Place in the Tactile Show for her dress, “Eve”; Venita Hawkins-Bird, a collage and mixed media artist based in Fort Collins, Colorado. She specializes in multicultural images and religious icons; and Keith Metz, an abstract artist by nature, his goal is to create work that combines bright colors and intense shapes and techniques used by other expressionists.
There will be a total of $1000 in awards given on the night of the opening.
The Opening Reception is Saturday, May 23, from 7 to 9 pm at the Louisville Center for the Arts. Show hours are Sunday, May 24 from 1 to 4 pm; M, Tu, 5 to 7 pm; W, Th, 7 to 9 pm; Fri, 5 to 9 pm; Sat. 1 to 3 pm; and Sun, 1 to 4 pm. Questions: call 303-666-5537.
