    24th Annual National Juried Fine Art Show
    Louisville, Colorado
    DEADLING: July 3, 2009

    The 24th Annual National Juried Fine Art Show, presented by the Louisville Art Association, Louisville, Colorado will be held at the Louisville center for the Arts from Saturday, September 5, 2009 to Sunday, September 13, 2009.

    Juror

    Mark Silvers is a professional artist and teacher whose award winning watercolors are admired for their depiction of light, luminous colors and strong composition. He has been featured in National Watercolor Society, Watercolor USA, Rocky Mountain National Water media, Allied Artist of America in New York City, the Governor’s Invitational Art Show and two years in the annual Arts for the Parks Top 100. He has received many awards including Best of Show for two years at the Colorado Watercolor Society’s Annual State Water Media Show.

    Mark is a popular instructor in watercolor and drawing at Colorado State University, Loveland Academy of Fine Arts, the Denver Art Museum, and in private classes and workshops in many states.

    His passion with the medium of transparent watercolor is to create paintings that showcase the unique and beautiful qualities of watercolor. He does not limit himself to particular type of subject matter. Impressionistic realism is how he describes the style of his landscapes. See his website.

    Prizes total $3000: $1000 for Best of Show, $750 for Second Place, $500 for Third Place and 6 Awards. These are awarded by the Judge. One Peoples’ Choice Award of $150 is chosen by the patrons.
