16th Annual National Juried Photography Show

    By greggl | March 15, 2007

    Louisville Art Association — 16th Annual National Juried Photography Show — June 30 - July 8th, 2007

This is a beautiful photography show which attracts entries from photographers nationwide. With 9 entry categories, the show exhibits a wide range of interpretations of the fine art of photography. Whether your interest lies in color landscapes, digital manipulations, black & white still life, or others — you’ll find something to catch and hold your attention. In addition to our wide range of regular categories, this year we will have a Theme category, and our theme is “Hands.”

Our judge will be Hal Gould of Camera Obscura Gallery in Denver. A tireless advocate of photography and himself a master photographer, Hal founded the Colorado Photographic Art Center in 1963. Photographs by Hal Gould are part of several corporate and private collections and have been exhibited widely, including the Denver Art Museum in 2000. He has received numerous awards including the National Award — the Professional Photographers of America’s top award — and the Gold Medal Grand Prize in the International Federation of Photographers’ Competition in Riga, Latvia. A retrospective of his work is now showing until May 24th at the Center for Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins.

Interested in entering your work? We welcome your entries! Entries close April 27th, and are $25 for the first 3 entries, with $10 each additional entry. We accept slides, prints, or electronic (CDs or individual JPEGs). Download our prospectus at louisvilleart.org, or send a #10 SASE to E. Taylor, 2770 Arapahoe Road, Suite 132 #118, Lafayette, CO 80026. Or call 303-665-4912 and ask for the prospectus to be mailed to you. Electronic JPEG entries can also be emailed to submit@louisvilleart.org.
